I will eventually grow tired of talking about the weather
just not yet.
it's hot
"how hot?" you ask,
hot enough to curl the centers and shrivel the petals on the flowers
the first shot was taken outside the house,
the second one almost immediately after picking the flower and coming inside.

Look at those cute little fringed edges!
ReplyDeleteI'll send you a bottle of my 40 degree nights for you to have a blast of refreshing cool!
please and thank you. you know its bad when your teenage son remarks that he is looking forward to cooler weather even if it does mean being back in school.
DeleteI hate the heat and feel very much like that second shot when I'm out in it. Ha!
ReplyDeleteYour first shot is gorgeous. :)
I LOVE the color of Chicory... lovely capture!
ReplyDeleteNow that is HOT!!!! Here too - it's HOT!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blue.
ReplyDeleteI can relate...I know I've melted more than that!!! Oh, and next time you visit your sil at Lake Norman, let me know if you'd like to meet up somewhere. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll keep that in mind (this is her 3rd location in as many years - but I think she'll stay at Lake Norman for awhile).
DeleteThese are some of my favorite roadside flowers...chicory blue! It's very hot here too and so dry. My heart breaks for the farmers. PS I love your golf pictures...I have never held a club in my hands, probably never will, but my mom at 85 loves to watch the game!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that color of blue. Fantastic shots!!
ReplyDeleteSad bloom. The heat is less here this week... I think I wilted on Saturday
