I could let everyone believe that I was at the Masters this past weekend,
and in a sense between watching it on TV, the computer, and cell phone, as well as following the tweets,
arguably I was;
but the truth of the matter is, I was not.
Oh, but how I wish I could have been because that finish was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
Yes, I think Adam Scott is dreamy (even though I am old enough to be his mom).
Yes, I think he is a very, very talented athlete.
Yes, I've been rooting for this young man to stake claim to a master tournament since blowing the British Open last July.
(following which I just wanted to reach through the TV screen and give him a hug and tell him it would all be alright - in a motherly sorta way folks, --- this is the mom speaking here, come on now!)
Yep - Ausie Ausie Ausie!
But as my husband remarked - it was great in that the player WON the tournament and not because someone LOST it at the end. Both Mr. Cabrera and Mr. Scott played magnificently to the last shot and isn't that the best way to end a tournament of world class golf!
That said, here is what else caught my attention this weekend . . .
yep, Spring is here!
I am so NOT a golfer or even interesting in golfing...I'm sure it has a lot to do with my extreme lack of patience, haha. BUT...totally in love with that first shot of yours. Fantastic vantage point!
ReplyDeleteI love golf---something I learned from Rick. What a GREAT Masters!!! Really like your new header, Nicki. And to see your spring blooms--and a bee--how welcome!
ReplyDeleteLOVE both of these shots. The Masters was amazing!!
ReplyDeleteLove the flower photos! And I'm a fan of Mr. Scott too - I remember him last July.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big golf fan either...my husband is enough of one to cover for both of us, but I do love the POV on your first shot... I admit the finish of this years Masters was excellent.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I agree with Mark Twain's assessment of golf..." A good walk spoilt".
I'm not sure what happened, we didn't watch any of the Masters and DH is a golfing fanatic! Maybe we were too busy cleaning up the yard. Which, is no where near as green or flowery as yours.
ReplyDeleteI love your 2nd shot - perfect!
Have a great day, Nicki!
Oh you kidder you....I thought you were there, in person. But then I admit I was a little confused, I did not think you lived anywhere near Georgia, but I have been wrong before, once or twice anyway. Congrats on your spring, still waiting!!
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteGreenbrier Classic maybe...I know he was there.
Another great golf shot and what a wonderful bee catch!
I was chasing bees too a few days ago. I started to post one for my spring shot yesterday but didn't. We've certainly been finding the same things to shoot. :)
Carletta - yes, some of these are from the Greenbrier Classic. Technically, I never said I was at the Masters in my Sunday post - only that I was honoring it and folks immediately made the jump. Would have loved to have made the jump with them - only in real life.
ReplyDeleteWe are on the same page with photo subjects lately, but when you shoot what's around you and what is around you is of similar location ... plus like minds ... brilliance actually ... well, there you have it. :)
Not a golf fan - but will have to check out Adam Scott!! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bee shot!
