bitter | sweet ...

 Floral Love

Joining up with Mona for another week of Floral Love.

Many of the flowers around here have seen their better days,
and like the kids heading back to school next week,
their summer has pretty much come to a bitter sweet end.

    1. "true that!" I couldn't agree more; personally I think once you hit a certain age, the wrinkles are a beautiful map of a life well lived.

  10. I've tried taking photos of dying flowers, but they never turn out right. Clearly you don't have that problem; these are great. I especially love the middle one.

  12. Beautiful shots of the end of the flowers. I notice yesterday there wasn't much to shoot whilst out walking in Kew Gardens. All seems to be fading away. I am now ready for Autumn color.

  13. Aging is a beautiful season of life, and you captured it so well! These are wonderful, Nicki! It is a bit sad to see summer go ... seems like it's only just begun around here, oh but now we can look forward to the amazing colors of autumn! My favorite time of year! I'm dropping in from Floral Love. Hope you have a lovely week!
